Screening on Sky Arts 1 in the UK on Thursday 5 June, and repeated on Wednesday 11 June at 10:30pm: Richard Wilson to appear as John in an episode of Playhouse Presents titled Space Age along with Simon Callow | TV one-off episode, comedy, June 2014 release | sky.com, imdb.com
Sorry for the short notice. I missed this episode when it was first screened last week, but it's repeated tonight. It sounds rather wonderful! And it's nigh on impossible to complain about the cast. :-)
Blurb: Eager to escape the indignity and hopelessness of their nursing homes, John (Richard) and Dudley (Simon) volunteer for a space mission that aims to seek out and prepare new planets for human settlement. Working alternate solo shifts, they battle isolation and loneliness as they spend months travelling the galaxy, with their only company being Iris, the starship's temperamental computer (voiced by Richard Vaughn).
And news of something a little further off:
Supanova, Australia | Adelaide 21-23 November, Brisbane 28-30 November | supanova.com.au
These conventions include guests Eoin Macken and Alexander Vlahos.
