fifteen seconds of fame courtesy of Flickr and Schmap Cardiff

So there are these online Schmap tourist guides at www.schmap.com subtitled 'beyond the map', featuring different locations worldwide, one of which is Cardiff. And apparently they use Flickr as a source of local photos.

I was asked for permission to use one of my photos of Cosmeston Medieval Village in the latest edition of the Schmap Cardiff guide... So I happily agreed. :-) You can see the relevant page here.

If you need another little motivation to upload your locations photos to Flickr, this might provide one! And if you'd then like to add them to the Merlin Locations Flickr group as well, that would be wonderful. ♥

P.S. Now I'd better go pack for France! :-D

That's fantastic! This is exactly one of the reasons why I post to flickr. A lot of people are using it as a way to search for certain photos that they want.

FYI, they've used one of my photos that I uploaded to Flickr as well (with my permission). This was for their guide to London. It was a photo of the National Gallery. I was quite excited!
