Heard back from the company earlier this week. I did send several replies to his emails stating that I didn't think it was Ship House Lake although he really insisted it was, even sent him a couple of photo's of the lake. It was only after I mentioned 2008 that I got this reply..............firstly to apologise for the confusion and then the suggestion to try
Ponsticill reservoir, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil.
Well Merlocmod I know you've already visited it, so hey ho happy hunting again. On Google Earth it looks rather a large stretch of water with more trees etc up the north of it so maybe the launch place is there.
