Pierrefonds - 25 June

Today was a short day for me, alas, in terms of Pierrefonds - and I am now writing this back at home! There was lots going on, but I had to go catch my Eurostar. Also, unfortunately I was feeling a bit poorly, so I spent much of the afternoon sitting around propped in corners - not necessarily conducive to capturing photographs!

There was some filming down in the wooded area underneath the Chateau, but I couldn't make out anything other than the fact that the delightful Dale McCready was involved.

Meanwhile, there was plenty going on in the courtyard, with the knights, the new guy, Angel, Colin and Bradley - and horses! - being directed by Ashley Way. Angel was in the purple dress I mentioned on Friday.

As I left, they were starting to set up the colourful tents in the grassy area in front of the Chateau, so that bodes well for anyone who's there tomorrow.

Sorry, I can't think of anything very pertinent to add at this point, so I will sign off there, and start uploading photos to Flickr. No doubt I'll have to come back and add an ETA or two as I remember things! My trip was awesome, and now I'm ready to just zonk out!

So glad to hear you returned home safely. Sounds like your totally worn out. I'm sure whatever you captured is well worth the look. I'm sorry you were feeling poorly. Hopefully you'll have time to recoupe and catch your breath. As always we appreaciate all your hard work.

You can see how huge Tom is! I mean Tomiwa is at least one head smaller! Rupert on the other hand has a similar high...
BTW! Why does Percival has a lether armour instead of a metal armour (with his chestboard and the stuff on the right arm/shoulder)

Hee! Yes, Tom is really very tall in real life, and Rupert only about an inch shorter. They are quite striking!

I have no idea about the leather armour for Percival, though I would cheekily like to say it's because he's too tough to need metal! :-) No doubt the costume designers had reasons behind the little changes made to each knight's armour, but I suppose we shall just have to guess!

It's amazing, that all the other knights are on one level and these two are the lighthouses^^ Maybe that's the real reason why Tom got the role as Percival... to make Rupert not feeling alone (having company) anymore as the tallest of the knights!^^

The leather is looking hot on him! Much better than the metal^^

The tournament area was used but late in the day so we got kicked out before they really started - Bradley was almost unseen from our angle and the light reflector was right in our line of sight, sadly. Also Colin and the knight gang (minus Elyan) was inside the castle just as we had to leave. I assume you saw the spoiler new guest star. I was very excited to see him. Even got his autograph. Haven't seen your pictures yet. The internet here is slow. Will look at them when I get home.
Have no idea what awaits us tomorrow other than there will be filming at some point.
Also we got turned away when we went up the hillside next to the road during the day. THey are really paranoid about spoilers, I guess.
