filming in Pierrefonds on 5 May

Apologies for not posting this sooner. I managed to upload my pics to flickr late on the 5th, but didn't have the time or energy to tag them, etc, until now...

As you may have gathered, we were in knight!heaven on Thursday, with a lovely long day of watching them training with Arthur, and Merlin looking on. Andreas was there for literally 24 hours; it seems he is very busy with other work as well, which is wonderful for him, but I was sad to see him go again so quickly.

I have posted the latest photos to flickr in the same set as the previous ones, starting here. Again, I don't think there's anything very spoilery here, as it's the expected actors playing out the expected kind of scenes. They were filming the fights that Andreas had rehearsed with them the previous evening.

Heavens, yes, re the mace. Arthur's fight with Percival was with maces, and they were really whacking them hard into each other's shields. It's quite shocking to hear/see them filming such things! I know it's still 'pretend' but it's also astonishingly 'real'. If you see what I mean. :-D

That was quite a long day for them, and the weather was so hot.

Looking at your pics, I realise that my camera is really crappy. Everyone looks tiny in my pics. I don't think I'll post any of them.

Heh! I'm glad it wasn't just me who was surprised by how 'real' those blows were. Bradley must have got the worst of it, being in every single fight. And yes, the weather! I would have ended up with a migraine, being out in the sun all day. I honestly don't know how they do it.

Oh but, hon... I hope you do post your pics. I'm really sorry mine have made you feel a bit bad. A zoom lens is such a bonus in these kinds of situations, it's true - but that doesn't mean your pics aren't good or interesting - and I'm sure you captured things that I just didn't. My subjects are rather selective. And my young friend took an astonishing shot of Bradley and Tommy (or Arthur and Elyan) with just his mobile phone, so it's not like capturing a moment has anything to do with the technology. I'm sure your pics are worth sharing, if that's what you'd like to do. ♥♥♥

The first two shirtless shots I saw, had just the ring on the chain, and then it appeared in the shots from the next day with the shirt on... Now I realize the pendant had swung around to the back.

Why do I care so much? I don't know. Once I noticed it, it's what I look for when I see him.

My lens is a Tamron AF 70-300mm. Mr Mod chose it as a pressie for me ♥, so I couldn't give you much info about why or whether there's anything that would suit you better!
