Bonjour, mon ami!
Just woke up to my last morning in France. I'm off to catch the Eurostar soon, but wanted to write up a little something about the fourth day in Pierrefonds - which was marvellous.
Warning: There are a few more little spoilers in here, but only the sort where it's obvious in the photos.
They were filming in the courtyard for a while in the morning, and then all afternoon. There was plenty of Jeremy and Dale to be seen, as you'll gather from the following! Generally, a princess and her knights had come to Camelot, and Arthur was welcoming them. Agravaine was at his shoulder, and Percival, Leon, and Gwaine were standing behind them. Merlin was there, but in the background - so we actually had a stand-in Merlin for much of it, until Colin was free to come and do his close-up reaction shots late in the afternoon.
So I have managed to take a few nice photos of Bradley, and also a few of Colin, though he was hemmed in by the extras.
MAJOR SPOILERS!!!
Arthur was wearing a kingly crown.
Anyway! :-)
The other unit were down in the dungeons, with the two Alices, Richard, Colin, and Adetomiwa. So we got glimpses of them as they went back and forth.
I had a lovely chat with Alice Troughton as she arrived in the morning. She's going to be at the BFI event, but said the Q+A would be the producers and cast again - no details yet as to names. I also got to say hello to Alice, our 2ac of Twitter fame.
Anyway, here is a bit of a picspam - my favourite photos from the last day... You can find more here at flickr.

Big Jay and the props guys were all in purple t-shirts.

Jeremy... {happy sighs}

Lovely Bradley...

The knights were enjoying themselves - including Eoin, though he's not in on the joke this time.

Arthur's cape is magnificent. The other capes are starting to look a bit shabby anyway, just the result of time and wear, but this one really puts them to shame!

I love you both that much, too...

Nathaniel was lovely - always chatting and sharing a smile. There was this classic moment which I failed to catch in which, as he walked into the Chateau, he was actually helping one of the young women push a trolley of equipment. Not the sort of behaviour you expect from the talent!

{happy happy sighs} So this is the daytime equivalent of my earlier favourite Dale!photo. They were actually waiting for the sun to go in again, as they had set up and started filming while it was still overcast.

Dear Rupert...

Creative meeting: Two first assistant directors, DoP and Director!

Date: 2011-09-10 04:19 pm (UTC)I am so very delighted to share the Dale & Jeremy squee with you. They are both so adorable, and so kind, quite apart from being super talented. I've had so much fun this week, and a lot of it revolved around them - and Alice T!
If you would make icons, I would love you forever... Oh wait, I already do! Well. I will love you for two forevers. ♥

Date: 2011-09-10 09:33 pm (UTC)I know it may be too much to ask (I kinda abused your Flickr account :D) but if you have them, would you also consider putting a few stock Camelot photos too? Not just actors- things like the banners, anything red and gold, really :) I saw & saved a few from your Flickr account but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
(And oh, is it okay to use them for graphics?)

Date: 2011-09-11 07:34 am (UTC)As for my flickr account: Abuse away, my dear! :-) For the 'stock Camelot' images, is there anything in particular that you're looking for? I am pretty sure I've already posted the ones I've taken before now - or the ones that worked best, anyway - and I'm afraid I didn't take any more this trip.
And please do use the pics anyway you like. I'm very interested to see the results. I love your work! ♥ A link back to Merlin Locations on lj, flickr, or the website would be appreciated.

Date: 2011-09-12 02:18 am (UTC)I'm always looking for Camelot related objects, they make manips look more realistic :D For exemple, I used one of your flags (http://i737.photobucket.com/albums/xx15/mrs_leary/merlinlocations/locations04/500-IMGP7776.jpg) in here (http://glenien.turkfanfiction.net/wallpaper/2011/eylul/1024-glenien-15.jpg) next to Eoin. See what I mean? :)
And it's totally fine btw- I was just curious if you had more :D

Date: 2011-09-11 10:34 am (UTC)I guess almost all Merlin fans know clearly that Bradley ENJOYS (working with) Colin most. LOL.
But hey, he is a very mighty prince (king), there is no harm to have more beautiful women there. (I remember Bradley said he wanted a lot more beautiful girls there severel times.)

Date: 2011-09-11 02:35 pm (UTC)I've got photos of Nathaniel helping this young woman with the trolley, so sweet of him, a gentleman! It made me smile because it reminded me of the song in Holy Grail: "It's a busy life in Camelot I have to push the pram a lot."
Eoin was not so far behind him, walking and chatting with Alice who was pushing her trolley, alone.
It was a great day.

Date: 2011-10-09 01:55 pm (UTC)Nathaniel was great. I'm delighted that you managed to take a pic of him! And I love the Monty Python reference. :-)
Let's assume that Eoin offered, was kindly refused, and they were enjoying each other's company anyway. :-D
It was a truly awesome day. I loved this particular trip so much! ♥
