Sad news re our stalwart Red Cross man, Gérard Burgan

I was very sad to see that Gérard Burgan passed away, not long after the filming in Pierrefonds in June. Crew member Sébastien Quérité announced the news here.



I don't suppose it's our place to make a fuss, but I shall be sad not to see Gérard in September. He was always there at the Chateau, every day, among the first to arrive and the last to leave. And he looked after our cast and crew, along with anyone else who needed assistance. I felt very fondly towards him.

I am sure our thoughts are with his friends, family and colleagues who have more reason still to love him.

This is so sad, I will truly miss him. He was just always there.
And he once helped a friend of mine when she was bitten by a wasp.

I'll post a couple of pics of him, too, when I get home to remember the lovely man that he was.

Sad news and quite a shock, his face was familiar. Very smiling man, I remember seeing him giving some help to Katie who didn't feel very well after filming into the crypt. He looked like a nice person.

I do remember him taking care of a newbie "knight" who cut hiself and he was so kind even if he did make fun of him.

It is sad news indeed. It is lovely that so many of us remember him and his happy personality.
