Filming for the third season of
Merlin began in early March. Hurrah! They are currently based in Cardiff, and will be filming in France again in April. Little bits of info are coming in about filming locations, which I have summarised below. Thanks are as ever due to our research geek

- I'm delighted that Merlin has returned to Puzzlewood for three days of filming! I really love that place, and it makes for a very atmospheric location. Read the article here.
- The above article also mentions nearby Clements End - which is great, cos it gives me another location to visit! Judging from Google Maps, it may provide another forest location.
- There is a new film studio near Cardiff called Dragon Studios, which includes a castle set. Our favourite DOP Dale McCready has visited there on a locations scout, so there's a good chance they'll use it during the third season. Read the post and see images here.
